September 15-17 2017

I have some exciting news – the Government of New Brunswick is showing their tremendous support of the Golden Hawks by providing $15,000.00 towards our Appreciation event and another $9,000.00 towards our Golden Hawk exhibit! In addition, the city of Quinte West (Trenton), Ontario is going to be a Gold Sponsor, providing $7,500.00 to help our efforts. The city is also investigating providing bus service (on a big coach bus) between Trenton and Miramichi (Chatham) to help reduce costs for any members, families or anyone else who wants to attend. Extra stops may be arranged in Ottawa, Montreal and other points along the route if needed. More details will follow but we hope people will take advantage of this opportunity to travel in style. This event is a celebration of the Golden Hawks and their lasting legacy so we are hoping for a great turnout. We have some really special events planned and I think everyone will be glad they came. I will have more updates as we get closer to the event. We are very pleased to announce that now that there is confirmed funding in place, event tickets will be FREE for all Golden Hawk members! We are also reducing the cost for family members and seniors so it will now be only $75/person for all weekend activities or just $50 to attend the banquet and ceremony. I have attached the updated registration form highlighting the new rates. I will be meeting with the manager of the Rodd Inn to see if we can reduce hotel costs a bit further as well. Be sure you send in your registration form and reserve your hotel as soon as possible. During my recent discussion with the Mayor of Quinte West, we agreed that we would hate to see anyone miss out on this event due to costs so if you need any assistance, please let me know.  I am looking forward to joining a number of Golden Hawks and family members at the Hall of Fame induction in 2 weeks.

 Take care all, Kevin
