MORTON, Lt./Gen Robert W. (Rtd.) (March 23, 1937 – December 7, 2002, of Stittsville, Ontario)
Unexpectedly, from heart complications following successful surgery for prostate cancer, on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at age 65. Robert Wayne Morton, loving husband of Patricia for 43 years; Cherished father of Bruce (Lucie) and Jennie (Richard); Adored Grandpa of Sydney, Jamie Leigh and Ashley. Dear son of Stan Morton, Almonte and the late Marjorie Robertson. Proud member of the Canadian Air Force for 37 years. He had a great love and zest for life. He was a gentleman’s gentleman and will live in our hearts forever. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte for visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thence to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Almonte for Funeral Service on Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. Craig Bowers officiating. Cremation to follow. Bob’s cremated remains will be scattered at Clayton Lake at a later date. Donations made, in memory of Bob, to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the Morton Family.
