Barnes were the only casualties and were killed when aircraft #81 62 crashed and burned three miles west and one half mile south of the aerodrome at Brandon. Acker, and the civilian pilot G.H. Rockett were all killed in the crash. LAC Quinlan died of his injuries while in hospital.
