The Air Force Association of Canada pays its respects to Billy Bishop – Canada’s
intrepid aviator of the First World War – each year during the Dawn Patrol Breakfast. It is Bishop’s famous or infamous dawn patrol
raid on an enemy airfield,
clad only in pajamas and flying boots and fortified with the usual liguid-courage, to which we pay homage. “The audace”, indeed! The association’s key sponsors share our mission to celebrate the accomplishments of the men and women who have served, are serving and will serve in Canada’s air force. The breakfast is held in conjunction with the Conference of Defence Association’s annual symposium. In 2012 the breakfast will be held in the Adam Room at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, ON from 6:30 AM to 8:15 AM by invitation only on Friday 24 February 2012.
